RUSH OF APPLICATIONS

PERMITS TO LEAVE N.Z. EARLY LODGMENT URGED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, announces that there has been abnormally heavy pressure of work on officers handling leave permit applications, and lie impresses on persons whose business or private affairs make it necessary for them to leave New Zealand to make applications for permits as early ahead of the date of their intended departure as possible.

Arrangements have been made for lodging applications with the Tourist Bureau in Auckland, the Registrar of Births, Deaths, Marriages in Christchurch and Dunedin and with the Collectors of Customs in other ports. It will be of considerable assistance if applications are lodged at, the nearest offices.
