Having made a successful exploratory survey flight over the route between Auckland and Suva, the Tasman -Empire Airways’ ' flying ‘boat Aotearba returned to Auckland yesterday.
Commanded by Captain Burgess, the Abtearoa left Auckland on Thursday morning and arrived at Suva after an uneventful flight.
Among those on board was Group 'Captain Wilkes, Controller of Civil Aviation.
Leaving again yesterday morning, the flying -boat made the return survey flight across the Pacific without incident.
