TWO THEFT CHARGES
PROBATION ORDER MADE MAN UNDER SUPERVISION A plea of guilty to both charges was entered by Leslie Lawrence Worsnop, aged 20 years, in the Po'ice Court this morning, when he appeared before Mr. J. I-I. Luxford, SjM., to answer two charges of theft. Worsnop, who, was represented bv Mr. L. T. Burnard, was charged with tiie theft® of radio parts and accessories' Valtffed at £3 7s, and also with stealing a gold ring, valued at £l. The alleged offences were committed: at Batley, North Auckland. i Detective-Sergeant ft. H. Waterson, i said the accused had stolen the’ articles while employed in North Auckland. When arrested in Gisborne, he had all the property with him and all had been recovered. The accused had been before the court previously for thefts while working on a milk-run and was now on probation for 12 months. For the accused, Mr. Burnard said that Jhe radio parts had been borrowed and the accused had brought them’ to Gisborne with him. The accused was admitted probation for two years on the charge of stealing the radio parts and on the second charge was convicted and discharged
