PROPAGANDA BODY ALLEGATIONS RECALLED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn,) (Reed. Sept. 8, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 0. “The Link,” an organisation alleged to have been in receipt' of German funds for the purpose of-disseminat-ing German propaganda, has been closed. The professed object of “The Link” as announced in the House of Commons, on August ;4 by the Home Secretary was to promote Anglo-Gorman understanding, but “The Link” did nothing to enable Germans to understand the British viewpoint. “My information shows that the organisation is used as an instrument of German 'propaganda service, and money is received from Germany by one of the active' organisers,” Sir Samuel Hoate^added.' The chairman of -the organisation was Admiral Sir. Barry Domville, and members of the council included Sir Raymond Beasley, Lord Redesdale and-Div-Av M..,Laurie.
