SERVICES OVERSEAS

NEW ZEALAND APPLICANTS (Reed, Sept. 7, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. G. New Zealand House continues to take the names of New Zealanders anxious to enlist for active service. The applicants have been informed that in the event of New Zealand and Australian expeditionary forces going to Europe they will be trained in England and allowed fo join the expeditionary force here. A message i'rtom Canberra states that the Minister of External Affairs, Sir Henry Gullett, said that although the possibility of sending an Australian force overseas has not been dismissed by the Federal Government, no action on these lines would be taken until the defence of Australia had been assured.
