NAIL PENETRATES EYE
A penetrating wound in the right eye was suffered by Joseph Martin Hayes, aged 25, a farmer, single, of Drury, when he was struck by a nail while hammering. He was admitted to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition was reported to be serious.
