MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB

MATCHES AT KOPUAWHARA THIS WEEK’S SHOOT (Herald Correspondent.) The first of a series of three handicap shoots for ihe fifth trophy of the season was held bv the Ivopuawhara Miniature Rifle Club last Monday night. Since the beginning of the season, there has been a wonderful improvement in the standard of shooting. Tiie highest aggregate for the season is at present, held by F. Lowe, with C. Ilornig, I’. Foley, A. Brodie and Mesdamcs Doyle and Pemberton occupying the ,next five places. The two ladies have been putting up particularly good performances lately The 'detailed results of Monday night's shoot were:—E. W. McEnnis, 07; Mrs. Doyle, 07; Miss Kerr, 05; Miss Pemberton, 07; Mrs. Pemberton, 60; Mrs. Lowe. 05; A. Brodie, 02; J. Doyle, 07: T. Folev, 07; F. Hilliard, 01; J. Hilliard. 00;’ If. I-lighet, 58; .J. Ifighct, 05; C. Ilornig, 58; P. Lattey, 05; F. Lowe, 09; B. McMillan, 07; D. Ross, 07; C. Smith, 57; G. Smith, 02; J. Stewart, 05; D. Tainui, 07; J. Zidich, 07; Jas. Kennedy, 57. The sweepstake was won by F. Lowe. The team to meet Wairoa to-night will consist of; F. Lowe, C. Ilornig, T. Foley. A. Brodie, Mesdamcs Doyle and Pemberton, J. Doyle, J. Scott, P. Lattey, Miss Pemberton, Jas. Kennedy, F. Pemberton, D. Ross, B. McMillan. and E. W. McEnnis. A postal shoot also is being arranged against tiie Tuai club.
