It is expected that the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, will make his first statement on the war situation in Parliament to-morrow. Members are urged to submit questions in writing, thus enabling any necessary deletions in the public interest. Mr. Chamberlain to-day told the acting leader of the Opposition, Mr. A. Greenwood in the House of Commons that he honed to be in a position to-morrow to make a statement on the general war situation and he promised to consider the possibility of periodic statements of this character to keep the House and the country informed.
