Canon Percival James, formerly of St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral, Wellington, was to have preached in Westminster Abbey last Sunday, according to a private letter received in Wellington. The Tauranga orchard inspector, Mr. R. M. W. Greig, ,B.Se„ has received an appointment in Auckland as .citriculturist to the Horticultural Division of the Department of Agriculture. The Rev. Lawrence A. North has accepted the invitation of the Vivian Street Baptist Church, Wellington, to become its minister, and will take up his duties ia November. Mr. North, who for some years was minister of the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church, Christchurch, has been stationed in Wellington for the last year as general secretary of the Baptist Union of New Zealand.
