SPANISH WRESTLER
FIRST LOCAL APPEARANCE MATCH WITH BLOMFIELD The first Gisborne appearance of the Spanish wrestler, Ignacio Martinez, is awaited keenly by wrestling followers here and reservations for his match with the New Zealand champion, "Lofty” Blomfield, are filling rapidly. Martinez, a fast and colourful matman, stands Gft. 4in. in his socks and will have a height advantage over Blomfield, but the New Zealander has met some of the greatest men in the sport in recent years and can be .relied upon to give the Spaniard a thorough testing.
Outstanding in a list of strong preliminaries will be the return bout between Arthur Boa ! and Mick Smale, two clever and entertaining wrestlers.
