Sawmillers cancelled their decision to close their mills on rndays because of the sudden demand experienced fbr certain classes of timber for urgent use on Government works. ■ Though the demand for various classes of timber is still unbalanced, it is recognised that the Government demands must be met with the least possible delay. All members ol the association have been urged to assist in the national emergency, resulting -in the cancellation Of idle days.
