PLAYERS FOR TRAINING EARLY REP. FIXTURES SENIORS AND COLTS Three representative games will call for the services of Poverty Bay senior Rugby football players during the next fortnight, and the selector, Mr. T. French, has nominated a number of players for special training. On September 10, the Wairoa seniors will visit Gisborne, and will be met by a team selected from the following:—Forwards: W. Aitken, G. Shanks, M. O’Brien, C. Anderson, G. King, Waikohu, W. Robinson, Waikohu, G. Phillips, R. Rogers, F. Twigg, V. Kutia, W. Holmes, and W. Johnstone. Backs: W. Morrison, P. Haisman, A. Read, A. McAneney, T. Smiler, B. Malone, W. Hoy, R. Short, .VI. Sharp, and J. Short. A team to play East Coast on Saturday, September 23, also will be chosen from among those named above Colts’ Wairoa Fixture Poverty Bay's colts will be sent to Wairoa on Saturday, September 10. and the team has been selected tentatively as under: — N Full-back, T. Moughan; threequarters, W. Burch, R. Carroll, and J. Moore, Waikohu; or J. Short; fiveeighths, M. Smiler, and R. McKinley; half-back, Sargisson, Motu; hookers, J. Baker, R. Rigney,. and G. Livingston; middle row, W. Tibbie, T. McGulfie, C. Hayes, and J. Milne; back row, R. Francis. Emergencies: C. Gardiner, M. Glassford, and W. Smiler, backs; and S. O’Connor and W. Bright, forwards. Any of ttie players named above who may be unable to take part in this game should advise the secretary of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, Mr. W. McKee, accordingly.
