RAYNER UNTROUBLED GAME .CHALLENGER LOSES (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Hardly ever extended at any stage of the bout, Clarrie Rayner, 9.G, had little difficulty on Saturday night in retaining the lightweight professional boxing title against the Dunedin featherweight, Lex Greaney, who holds the New Zealand title in that class. Greaney was giving away Oijlb., and although lie fought gamely, life was no match for his opponent, who won on a technical knock-out in the eighth round.
