—oATTITUDE OF HITLER B()MBING RESTRICTION (Reed Sept. 4. 9 a.m.) NEW YORK. Sept. 2. Herr Hitler’s reply to President Roosevelt says: "The non-bombing of non-military objectives accords with my viewpoint. I therefore agree unconditionally to the proposal of the Governments participating in the present Hostilities to give a public declaration to that effect. Already I have ordered that the action shall he restricted to military objectives, but a continuance of the order depends on the compliance of our opponents.” A message from Warsaw says the Government stated that the Polish civilian losses already made Germany’s compliance with Mr. Roosevelt’s request doubtful.
