AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS

ENTERTAINMENTS CLOSED NO OUTDOOR SPORTS (Elec, Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sent. 4, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 3. In order to prevent crowds aggravating air raid risks, the Government has closed all places of entertainment until further notice, including indoor and outdoor sports, but churches are not affected on any day of the week. Schools, are closed for a week. Everyone is asked to carry a gasmask and an envelope containing his name and address. All are urged to keep from the streets as much as possible. Doctors are automatically called up for emergency duty at specified hospitals. A bank holiday has been proclaimed for to-morrow. The first detachment of Territorials passed through the streets singing “Pack Up Your Troubles.” The King and Gueen heard the declaration of war by wireless in their private room in Buckingham Palace
