IRON CROSS AWARD
NEW KNIGHT CLASS (Reed. Sept. 4, 10 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 2. The radio announced that Herr Hitler had decreed the reintroduction of the bestowal of the Iron Cross and had created a new "knight class” of it, replacing the order “Pour la Merite,” hitherto the highest German honour for bravery in the field.
