FINAL VICTORY DEFENCE OF LIBERTY “UNCONQUERABLE ARMY” AID OF UKRAINIANS NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE ((Reed. Sept. 4, 9 a.m.) ■WARSAW, Sept. 2. The Polish Prime Minister, M. Slawoj Skladowski, addressing Parliament, said: “War has been imposed upon us. We accept the challenge. We have been attacked. We are fighting. “We shall win this war because the late Marshal Joseph Pilsudski taught us how to win liberty and how to defend it. We shall be victorious under the supreme command of Marshal Smigly-Rydz by the Holy Passion of our Lord, “We are in the second day of war. The rush of the tremendous historic events holds no terrors for us. We know the fortunes of war are changeable, but the unconquerable Polish army will defeat its historic enemy. Our country will crush Teutonic arrogance and haughtiness.” On behalf of the Ukranians, M. Celewkrz said: “We Ukranians are already shedding our blood for Poland to-day. Our old political quarrels are forgotten. We fight ‘ shoulder to shoulder with the Poles for the common ideal-human liberty and national independence.”
