1 A frequent visitor to the Ake Ake hush, in the Te' Puke district, states that kiwis have often been seen by. him. An Ake Ake resident informed ■him’ that only a few days ago a kiwi hen and two chicks in a nest were disturbed by a dog. The resident a so stated that he often heard the cry of- the kiwis at night.
