POWER FAILURES
WELLINGTON STOPPAGES CAUSED lIV THUNDERSTORM i (Per Prose Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and last evening resulted in two electric light and power failures in Wellington, with stoppages of the services and machinery dependent upon this source of power. The second occurred when business people were going home from work. I The faults are believed to have [been caused by lightning striking the power lines.
