SOCCER IN AUSTRALIA

In order to develop ithe game in Australia, the Australian Soccer Association has decided to make an application to the English 'Football Association for a loan of £OOOO. It wishes to 'buy grounds in each of the capital cities in Australia with this money. Another decision was that an effort should be made to send a team to England and the Continent after the Australian tour cf South Africa in 1941. This has been hailed as a wise move, for even if only mid-week games could be obtained in England it is thought that these would be of great value.
