REP. SOCCER MATCH
WELLINGTON GAME
FIXTURE FOR TO-MORROW
The principal sporting fixture tomorrow will Ibe the representative soccer match ibetween Poverty Bay and Wellington, to be played on the Childers Road Reserve. A shield presented by 'Mr. J. T. Hill. Gisborne, and Mr. J. Kean, Wellington, will be at stake.
The visitors will -be entertained at a dinner following the match and will return to Wellington on Sunday. The curtain-raiser will 'be a match 'between teams representing England and Scotland and will be refereed 'by Mr. D. Miller. This game will commence at 1.30 p.m. The main fixture will be controlled by Mr. C. Cusack and the linesman, will be Mr. D. Elliott. The Poverty Bay players are asked to be on the ground at 2.15 p.m. Poverty Bay will be represented by the following players: Goal. C. Mulrooney; backs, J. Watts, W. Mulrooney: half-backs, J. Barbour, W. Hall, ,f. Crawford: forwards, J. Burns, W. McGrory, A. Waugh, J. Duns-more and E. Bridge: reserves, D. Miller.' T. Normiogton, R. Finlay, D. Elliott. Curtain-Raiser Match Teams for the curtain-raiser will be selected from the following:— Scotland.—Williamson, Finlay, Forge, Houghton, Jarvie. McLean. Easton, MoCallum, Slade, Elliott <2). Barbour. Miller. Normington. Smith, McGregor.
England.—Sylvester, Evans, Appleby, Pate. Packman, Flavell, Raggett. Ford. Samson. Branson. Huxtable, Cookf Pilkington, Holdsworth, Hibbert.
