DEDICATION OF LAND CITY COUNCIL TO PAY (Tor Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. “In this case the assessors agreed, after taking all factors into consideration, upon the sum of £6342, which sum is accordingly awarded,” said the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, who, with Mr. J. M. Dale and Mr. J. S. Barton as assessors, constituted the Compensation Court which heard a claim for £B2OO by tlie Mutual Life and Citizens’ Assurance Co., Ltd. against the Wellington City Corporation for land dedicated by the company to the corporation at the corner of Hunter street and street.

In giving judgment of the court, the Chief Justice awarded the claimant 150gns. costs, together with disbursements and witnesses’ expenses to be fixed by the Registrar. Assessors’ fees 25 guineas each are also to be paid by the respondent.
