AFTER 63 YEARS
FORMER. FRIENDS MEET Although they lived for many years within 10 miles of each other and never more than 20 miles apart, two residents of North Taranaki had not met in 63 years since they left the ship in which they came to New Zealand. Last week one of them was admitted to the New Plymouth Hospital and found his former shipmate in the bed alongside him. The two men are Mr. Joseph West, of New Plymouth, and Mr. Charles Taylor, of Urenui. They came to New Zealand in the ship Urenui on her maiden voyage, and. disembarked at Wellington.
