Keen Barracking

A fine example of organised barracking was given at the New Zealand secondary schools’ hockey tournament in Wanganui, states, the Chronicle. It was refreshing to hear the boys cheering their teams on. The Gisborne team’s haka was 'an outstanding item. Some surprise was expressed by the lack of barracking by boys attending the Collegiate School' at the inter-col lege Rugby tournament. It is stated by a College master that organised barracking is not looked’ upon with favour there, but boys- are encouraged to applaud.
