OVERHAUL IN PROGRESS LONDON, Aug. fi. The Duchess of Kent is having the whole of her jewels overhauled on account of the numerous State occasions on which she is likely to wear them in Australia. They arc also being overhauled for the purpose of a new insurance for their transfer for such a long distance. It is understood that the Duchess will also take with her some of her mother’s jewels, which are now in England in safe keeping. These include an especially beautiful diamond and emerald necklace, which was greatly admired on the occasion of her marriage in 1934. There are also a pearl and diamond scroll tiara, and ;i riviere (gem necklace) 'of 36 large diamonds. Which was a wedding gift front King George V.
