BERLIN CHARGES GERMAN CORPORAL DEAD ALLEGED FIRING ON PLANE “INTOLERABLE” AFFRONT INTERNATIONAL LAW (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Au?. 26, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 25. The Polish Ambassador at Berlin has protested against five frontier incidents ‘which, it is alleged, occurred during the day. Tne Pplisn Ambassador protested against Germans machine-gunning a Polish border post in,tne Ry'bnik district. lit is officially stated in Warsaw that a German military patrol penetrated ronsn territory tor a distance of one Knoutene near tne village of Penta, a few miles north of Ostrolenlea. Encountering a Polish patrol, the Germans used a sub-machine-gun. The Foies returned the Are. The Germans eventually withdrew, leaving their leader, Corporal Kastenhagen, dead on Ponsn territory.
The Berlin paper AngrifT claims that 24 minority German-UKramian reservists were machine-gunned and killed in a provisional military camp at Lodz for refusing to be shifted to northern Poland.
A Marlsch Ostrau message States that the Germans report tnat Poles fatally shot seven Germans and one Czech at ‘Bielitz.
Firing: on German Warplanes
In Warsaw four new cases are reported of Polish anti-Aircraft batteries firing on German warplanes, which, it is stated, were flying over Polish territory.
A Berlin radio message announced to-day that Polish anti-aircraft guns had fired on a German plane flying over Danzig. One of the occupants was the State Secretary, Herr Stuckart. It was not stated whether the plane was struck.
The announcement was followed by the declaration: "This is an intolerable provocation against all international law.”
The Danish newspaper Politiken says that the western part of the Danish-German frontier in the zone south of Schleswig is occupied on the German side by civilians equipped with military caps and rifles. A Paris message states that it is learned there that all men in Gdynia ahd all Poles from Gdynia who live m Danzig have been called to the colours. The police also seized the newspaper Humanite.
The Budapest police have banned Sunday’s Nazi victory march past the. German and Italian legations.
