ARREST IN FRANCE
YOUNG NEW ZEALANDER
VAGRANCY CHARGE LAID

The Exchange Telegraph Agency's Paris correspondent says that George Burnard, aged 19 years, formerly of Dunedin, New Zealand, was arrested at Fcntaindbleu, and was charged with lack of French entrance papers and vagrancy. He said he was going to Marseilles, where he hoped to stc,w away for New Zealand. He arrived in England from the Dominion in February and was sentenced to a month in gaol as a stowaway.
He then worked as a dishwasher in Whitechapel, London, and had earned enough to reach Boulogne.
