COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
DANCE IN PATUTAHI (Herald Correspondent.) Mrs. A. Jones, Waituhi, invited a number of friends to the Pntutahi Hall recently to celebrate the twentyfirst birthday of her youngest son, Mr. Douglas Jones. Miss Lange delighted the guests willi two monologues. Amusing competitions were won by Mr. Broad and Mrs. Brodie. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing, t he music for which was supplied by Mrs. Broad.
The supper tables were decorated with spring blooms and were laden with a variety of good things, pride of place being given to a birthday •cake which had been made and decorated by Miss Jean Manson.
The toast to the guest of honour was proposed by Mr. R. K. Ross, and responded to by Mr* Douglas Jones.
