WIN FOR MAIJAKI Mahaki 2 goals Waituhi .. nil In a game that was somewhat ragged, Mahaki defeated Waituhi by two goals to nil in Gisborne on Saturday.
Both goals were secured in the first spell by Miss M. Tahoe. The second spell was very evenly contested, Mahaki, however, having more scoring chances than Waituhi, but the green defence was solid, the goalkeeper, Mrs. Tupara, being very safe in that spell.
HINENUI’S BIG WIN
Hinenui .. 7 goals Te Karaka .. nil
The game between Hinenui and Te Karaka was not productive of good hockey, Te Karaka experiencing an off-day and suffering defeat by seven goals to nil. The half-time score was 3 —o.
Mrs. Tangihau and Miss Karepa scored three goals each, and Miss Marie Brown one.
