SWITZERLAND BORDER
CONTROL OF VILLAGES
(Reed. Aug. 26, 9 a.m.) BASLE, Aug. 24
There is a considerable concentration of German troops in the frontier district of Beden, strengthening the garrison on the southern flank of the Siegfried line. The military authorities have taken over the whole of the villages. Many units in this sector were brought from Austria and Sudetenlaud. There are similar concentrations in Upper Alsace.
