CLUE COMPETITIONS TEAM TO MEET PARK (Herald Correspondent.) The finals of the club handicaps have been completed at the Waikohu Golf Club, and a feature of the competition was the close finishes; 'in many instances the game was won on the last putt. In the ladies’ section Mrs. Tait proved the winner, and E. Ruru was successful in. the final of the men s section. The holders of the Ferns, W. V. R. Luttrell and 'Miss L. Rum, Who were challenged toy E. Bradley and Mrs. J. V. Clark, again managed to retain the trophies. To-morrow a monthly medal match will be played, and .players must observe the notice board for fixtures. Visit of Park Club On September 3 the Park club will b e visiting the Waikohu links and a team will be selected .from the following: E. Bradley, H. Sidney, W. Luttrell, J. L. Clarkson, E. Ruru, R. Hutchinson, F. G. Bellerby, R. Fisher, S. Te Paa, A. D. Wallace, R. Gould, R. H. Brown, L. Spence, G. IS. Bridge, W. Scott, W, Bruce, J. Dymock, J. V. Clark, G. Gregory, R. D. Dymock, D. Dymock, R. Grono. >H. Lennane, J. R. 'Nichqlls, Murray and D. Burnett; iMesdames R. Hutchinson, C. Gaukrodger, J. V. Clark, J. D. Burnett, G. Bush, Gregory, Tait, T. L. Earnshaw. H. O'Connell, T. M. Askew, F. M. Clayton and C. Mills; Misses L. Rum, I M. Alexander, Josephine Scott, N. Jamieson, Juliet Scott, G. Parkinson and V. Seamons. Players must toe ready to commence play at 10 a.m. Morning and afternoon tea will toe .provided toy the home team. Lady Holes in One Mrs. T. L. Earnshaw is the first local lady to hole in one, and this week-end will toe accorded the usual honours. Mrs. ißullivant, of the Turanganui club, carried ofT the honour of toeing the first lady .player to perform this feat on the Waikohu links and has donated a .pair o'f silver candlestands for club competition in the ladies’ section. Two new greens are open for play now and at No. 7 hole (Takarua), although it is only 130yds in length, skill is needed to bring the ball to rest, as the green is on the dome of a small hill and it is a scratch score of 3.
