LONDON UNDERWRITERS AXIS SHIPS EXCLUDED (Reed. Aug. 24, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 23. The Institute of Underwriters has announced that an increased minimum war risk rate for risks “outside the war risks cargo pool” 'will ! oe operative as from to-morrow, as follows; Baltic, £1 10s per cent; Mediterranean, £1 15s; Australia and (New Zealand, 15s out and £1 home. German and Italian ships are excluded. They may be rated at the underwriters’ discretion. The rates are lower than those of last September and approximately equal to those applying during Italy’s annexation of Albania. . *
