The German Foreign Minister, Herr Von Ribbentrop. broadcasting from Berlin, said: “Everything the Fuehrer does is right; consequently the Ger-man-Russian pact is the best thing for Germany. Tiie Fuehrer mastered the previous crisis and will master this one."

Tiie official German news agency quotes Herr Von Ribbentrop as saying that Herr Hitler and lvf. Stalin had decided to be friends and the pact would prove a firm foundation on which Russia and Germany would build in close co-operation.

“This is one of the most important turning points in the history of the two peoples,” he declared. “I am convinced that the pact will have a favourable effect on tiie Russo-Jap-ahese and German-Japanese relations.
