BABY SWALLOWED BROOCH
LONDON, July 4
Kenneth Pettman, aged 7£ months, had a brooch removed from his throat by a bronchoscope at the Royal Southampton Hospital yesterday. He had swallowed the brooch, which was pinned to his clothes. The surgeon is keeping the brooch as a memento because on taking it out he found it engraved with the word “baby.”
