MR. JORDAN PRAISED ATTITUDE AT GENEVA (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, .this clay. ■Defending the New Zealand' High Commissioner in London, Mr. W. J. Jordan, from what he called to be carping criticism and unfair and ungenerous references during .the financial debate, the acting Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, declared in the 'House of Representatives' last evening that all those who came into contact with Mr. Jordan admired the way ini which on every occasion he raised his voice for open diplomacy for democracy and l human brotherhood ion the floor of the Assembly of the League of Nations. “He spoke for the Government and every memiber of the Government party, added Mr. Fraser. “He did so ably and 1 well. We know from 100 sources he won the respect and admiration of the vast majority of the delegates who went to Geneva. “I never felt prouder of our High Commissioner than when he stood in that Assembly of the Lea gue of Nations and voiced the essence of the principles of democracy,” said Mr. Fraser.
