SHEEPFARMING INQUIRY

SITTINGS ARRANGED GISBORNE AND WAIROA VISIT TO EAST COAST (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The sheep industry commission, states the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, replying to Mr. A. G. Hultquist (Laib., Bay of Plenty), has arranged to visit the East Coast and also the district between Gisborne and Wairoa. It is proposed to hold sittings at Whakatane and Gisiborne. Mr. Hultquist suggested that the commission should investigate the possibility of instituting a flat freightpaid price for the purpose of making superphosphate lime and other topdressing available to settlers in the more isolated areas at a much-reduced price. He was assured by the Minister that this will receive attention toy the commission,
