OPENING TO-MORROW

SCHOOLS’ RUGBY TOURNEY MORNING PLAY ONLY THREE DAYS’ FOOTBALL Play in the primary schools’ -Rugby tournament, to be 'conducted by the Primary Schools’ Sports Association, will commence on the Oval to-morrow morning, when two games will foe played. Playing only in the morning, the tournament will continue on Wednesday and Thursday.

To-morrow's game's will ibe between Gisborne and Waikohu-’Motu, this Lo commence at 9.45 a.m., and Waiapu County and iCook County, ‘ this latter match being scheduled for 10.40 a.m.

The Gisborne team to take part in the tournament has ‘been slightly altered from the selection as originally announced, and the following, players will represent the town area:— Forwards, Shone (Marist). Meade (Te Hapara). ‘Denton (Central), French (Marist), Horsfall (Central), ITlamilton (Central), vice-captain, Gordon (To Hapara), War'burton (K'aitil; backs, Croskery (Awapuni), Cameron (Awapuni). Kane (Man-gapapa), Widdawson (Central), Alderton (Kaiti), Henderson (Central), captain, Tureia (Central). Emergencies: Forwards, Solvander (Kaiti), Foss (Te Hapara);backs, Hicks (Central), Wilson (Marist).

Cook County will be represented by the 'following players: -Backs, F. Smiler (Patuta'hi), J. Ratapu (iMaoutuke), C. Pere (Patutahi), Swan (Manutuke), Carrington (Manu'tuke), Hall (Patutahi), Robb (Patutahi); forwards, Durston ((Manutuke), H. Moore (Makaraka), ,F. Jackson (Eartletts), Vuksich (Bartletts), R. ‘Moeau CManutuke), D. Jones (Manutuke), Atkins (Patutahi), 'Nepia (Manutuke). Emergencies: Go'odall (Manutuke), Allen OMakaraka).
