The Pakuranga Hunt Club's meeting was held at Ellcrslic on Saturday in perfect weather before a large attendance. The track was heavy.

A furlong from the post Valmint challenged and beat Royal Bachelor by half a length. Black Musk ran on strongly to be three-quarters of a length away, third, and Besiege was fourth. Time, 1.46 1-5.
