SOUTH PACIFIC FLIGHT
JOURNEY TO AUCKLAND PLANS FOR CLIPPER. (Reed. Aug. 16, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 15. The Pan-American Airways Company has announced that it is starting on August 22 the first survey flight over the new South Pacific route to New Zealand. The civil aeronautics authority has already granted a clearance to California for the Clipper, which will make the first trip with Captain J. H. Tilton, the chief pilot of the Panama Pacific service, in command.
