OKITU .ANNUAL MELT!NO
PROTECTION FROM COSTS

“That this meeting of shareholders and suppliers of the Okitu Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Limited, is emphatically of the opinion that owing to increasing costs and: other factors the guaranteed price should be continued; further, that the basis on which the price is fixed should be that- recommended by the price fixation (advisory) committee set up for the purpose, plus additional costs which have arisen since the recommendations were made by the committee.”
Mr. Jones, in moving the motion, referred to the rising costs and the necessity for the farmer to be protected against them, lest the dairy farming industry should 'become unprofitable. (Mr. (Robertson urged that the farmers should continue to emphasise the necessity for the guaranteed price to continue. 'Mr. E.
