The Attorney-General, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, gave notice in the House of Representatives yearterday, of his intention to introduce the Domestic Proceedings Bill which provides for a modification of the procedure in

cases of application for separation, of married couples when made to a magistrate.

The magistrate will refer such cases to some suitable person to endeavour to effect a reconciliation, and only after such effort has failed, will a separation be granted. All the ancilliary procedure is provided for in subsequent clauses.
