PRICE-CUT PROTEST
ACTION TAKEN IN TEXAS

Eighty-seven thousand petroleum wells in Texas, the largest producing State in the nation, have 'been ordered to shut 'by the 'State authorities as a protest against the action, of large companies in reducing crude oil prices, in some cases toy 20 per cent. The action was the first definite move in any oil-producing State since the cut initiated last week toy the Sinclair Company.
