DISAPPEARANCE OF DIVER

DARNLEY ISLAND MYSTERY HELMET LEFT ON LINE (Reed. Aug. 15, 9 a.m.) BRISBANE, Aug. 14. Another Japanese pearl diver mysteriously disappeared from the diving suit off Darnley Island, in the vicinity of Cairns, to-day. Failure to receive his signals or a response to those sent to him led to a descent by another diver, who ascertained that all that remained was the helmet and corselet of the first diver.
