NIGHT SPENT IN GULLY

While crossing a railway bridge at Tokoroa on Saturday night, Mr. James Stephenson, aged 48, single, an employee of the Taupo Totara Timber Company, slipped and fell 15ft. into the gully below. As he fell, Mr. Stephenson struck one of the sleepers, receiving injuries to his chest. He managed to crawl .out of the gully to a shack, where he spent the night. He attracted the attention of friends on Sunday morning, and lie was taken to the Waikato Hospital.
