ECZEMA IN STOCK

OFFICIAL INVESTIGATION A conference of 40 officers of the 'Department of Agriculture, of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and representatives of the farming community was held at Ruakura last week to receive the reports of those who had been engaged in the investigation of the cause and prevention of facial eczema among stock. The work was undertaken fallowing the serious outbreak of the disease among sheep and cattle in the Waikato in April of last year.

The conference was held, in com'miittce, and it was stated- that no 'conclusions had been reached.
