SLIP ON RAILWAY

LIMITED HELD UP

QUICK CLEARANCE MADE

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A slip which blocked the railway line about halfway between Te Horo and Waikanae held up the Limited express from Auckland yesterday morning.

The passengers were taken by bus from Otaki to Waikanae. A slow train from Wellington to Palmerston North was held at Waikanae and took the passengers from the express back to Wellington. They completed their journey at about 11.15 a.m.

The slip occurred on the builtup portion Of the line where, it is understood, a similar slip occurred about two years ago. The permanent way was not damaged. A gang of 20 men from Otaki and Waikanae wer e soon on the spot clearing the line. They completed the work, by 11 a.m.
