OLDEST TO HIT FOUR 100'S LONDON, July 1. Herbert Sutcliffe, now 44, is' the oldest batsman who has scored four centuries in consecutive innings. Jack Hoibbs was 43 wheii he did so. in 1925, and Frank WooMey was 42 when he performed the feat in 1929. The youngest batsmen with the four-in-a-row honour was the Nawab' of Pataudi, who was 21 at the time, 1931, and still at Oxford. The nawab scored 13.07 runs in university matches that season, a record, averaging 93.35. He was second with 651.23 in the season's averages to' Su&iiffe, whose 9BM was an English record."
