TSOVRRTY BAY'S senior representative team suffered r.nother de- ' feat on Saturday, when their challenge in Wairoa for the Senior Barry Cup, held by Wairoa. was beaten off by the comfortable margin of 11 points. The Cup holders scored four tries, all converted, against Poverty Bay's three penalty goals, all scored by M. O’Brien, the wizard place-kicker whose boot won the championship for his club team and has accounted for many more points in representative; matches.

The game was a dour one. with Wairoa showing a greater •capacity to profit by opportunities. On their own ground, the Gisborne juniors had an easy time with the Wairoa juniors, and held the Barry Cup for their grade with a big score over tiie challengers. Results were as under:—
