The competition of the Wairoa Ladies' Golf Club this week will be a Stableford' bogey, for which members will' choose their own partners. The third round of the championships must be completed by August 13. In tttie first 'round o.f the junior championships Mrs. Ryan defeated Mrs. Watson; Mrs. Glengarry defeated M r s. Teague; Miss Mac Kay defaulted to Mrs. Crichton; Miss MacPherson defeated Miss Wagner; Miss Harvey defaulted to Mrs. G. O. K. Sainsbury: and Miss Morgan defeated Miss Trafford. In the second round Mrs. Goldstone defeated Mrs. Ryan; Mrs. Glengarry defeated Mrs. Crichton; Miss MacPherson defeated Mrs. Mackay; and Miss Morgan defeated Mrs. Sainsbury. Results in the Hurumua Cup series were:—Mrs. Glendining defeated Mrs. Sainsbury; and. Mrs. McCrea defeated Mrs. Svensen. C Grade Championships In -the C grade championships Mrs. Prvan-t defaulted to Miss Sumner; Mrs. Tetter defeated Miss Timms; Miss H'inickesmsn defaulted to Miss Matson: Mrs. Craig defeated Mrs. Morrison: and Mrs. MacDonald defeated Mrs. Clark. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Goldstone are the present holders of the Smith Ribbons, havin''? defeated Mrs. Ryan, and Miss Symond-s. Tournament Arrangements Ait tihe monthly committee meeting it was decided to postpone the A grade championships until after the tournament. Final arrangements were made in connection with the 'tournament, and jit is expected that as successful an event will be held this year as previously. Soecial provision has been made for C grade players. A donation of £1 Is was received from Mrs. Pir-ol for a trophy to be given -as the committee saw fit. It -was decided to give this during the tournament.
