PERSONAL
Messrs. E. J. Phelan, Auckland, J. P. O. Skoglund, of Wellington, T. H. Langford, Christchurch and S. T. Raines, Dunedin, have been reappointed licensing authorities for their respective transport districts for a year as from August 1, according to a notice in last .might’s gazette.
Military appointments gazetted last night include those of Colonel H. B. Maunsel), to command the Second New Zealand Mounted Rifles Brigade. Colonel J L. Saunders, to command the Second New Zealand Infantry Brigade, Colonel S. D. Mason, to command the Third New Zealand Mounted Rifles and Lieutenant-Colonel L. C. Chaytor, to be Colonel and to command the Third New Zealand Mounted Rifles Brigade.
